The best Multi-scan Body CBCT System
NewTom 7G is the Multi-Scan Body CBCT system designed to offer extremely accurate diagnoses for a wide range of anatomical districts including the spine, shoulder and hip.
Featuring a large gantry opening and an advanced kinematic system, our 7G facilitates patient positioning, minimising the risk of experiencing claustrophobia, while rear access makes scanning of wheelchair patients possible, too. -
From micro detail to the "big picture"
From micro detail to macrostructure viewing, NewTom 7G guarantees diagnostic precision thanks to a resolution of up to 90 µm, ideal for analysing particularly complex structures, such as the inner ear or joint micro-fractures.
The fully adjustable motor-driven patient table ensures correct alignment of the fields of view (FOVs) and reduces movement-induced artifacts, improving the quality and accuracy of examinations, especially in pediatric, elderly or trauma patients. -
Unmatched potential
With advanced features to automatically adapt the FOV and X-ray dose to the patient's body size, NewTom 7G optimises every exam, both in 2D and 3D modes. The patented Dual Energy technology further enhances diagnostic potential, allowing tissue characterisation, reduction of metal artifacts and the production of virtual monochrome images for increasingly precise diagnoses.
A one-stop system for radiologists and other specialists to perform in-depth examinations of bone and soft tissues - improving both diagnostic and post-operative follow-up procedures.
Dual Energy: the new frontier of CBCT imaging

The NewTom 7G Dual Energy system uses two different radiant energies to capture complementary image sets of the same anatomical area - improving diagnostic accuracy and tissue characterisation.
This innovative approach allows the chemical composition of tissues to be characterised, improving tissue distinction between cortical bone, trabecular bone and soft tissues.
Quantitative tests show a marked improvement in HU accuracy, contrast resolution, and image homogeneity compared to single-energy scans. Additionally, advanced algorithms automatically correct movement-induced artifacts, ensuring superior image quality even in challenging conditions.
Thanks to the dedicated software, energy levels can be selected in real time to obtain detailed and customised information during viewing. Virtual monochrome images (VMI) and colour-coded images facilitate tissue segmentation and timely disease identification.

Advanced functions

NewTom 7G uses pulsed emission CBCT technology to generate ultra high resolution volumetric images, with native isotropic voxel and minimal artifacts. Cone beam scanning reduces the area of exposure to radiation and lowers costs compared to traditional MSCT systems.

SafeBeam™ technology
SafeBeam™ technology automatically adapts emission parameters to the patient's anatomical characteristics, eliminating any risk of overexposure. The 15 available fields of view, expandable with the optional eXtra FOV function, can be captured using 4 exposure protocols (Low Dose, Regular, Enhanced, Best Quality), which guarantee a dose consistently adjusted to clinical needs. The eXtra FOV feature allows for expanded anatomical coverage, offering a complete view of the pelvis and the possibility of performing bilateral examinations of the hips and spine. -
Cine-Scout and CineX mode
Thanks to the Cine-Scout and CineX serial radiography modes, moving structures can be examined - making this the ideal solution to evaluate joint mobility. Laser guides and the Multi-Scout Vision feature ensure perfect alignment of the FOV, while the 10” touch-screen consoles allow for easy management of every step of the examination, optimising the workflow and ensuring highly accurate diagnostic results.
For the examination of moving structures, the CineX mode and the innovative Cine-Scout function enable dynamic analyses - ideal for assessing joint mobility. The patient is accurately positioned thanks to the laser guides and the Multi-Scout Vision feature, while the 10” touch-screen consoles on-board the machine offer an intuitive interface for easy and fast management of the workflow.
2D and 3D scans and functions

NewTom 7G uses CBCT technology for the imaging of several anatomical areas, both in 3D with multiple FOVs, and in 2D, spanning a wide range of clinical applications.
The resulting scans are useful in several specialties ranging from Orthopedics (MSK), Otolaryngology (ENT), Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery to General Radiology and precision medicine.
7G can perform different types of exam, including scans with intra-articular contrast agents (e.g. arthrograms with Cine-Scout positioning).
The innovative Ray2D, Cine-Scout and CineX features expand the diagnostic possibilities of NewTom 7G, ensuring detailed and customised analyses of anatomical structures.
Ray2D offers a preliminary two-dimensional assessment, ideal for 3D exam planning. It allows images to be captured from different angles, providing a complete and accurate view of anatomical districts before volumetric scanning.
The CineX serial radiography feature allows for real-time analysis of moving anatomical structures - which makes it particularly useful for evaluating joint mobility. This feature is essential to identify any joint dysfunctions in an accurate and dynamic way.

Adaptive FOVs
Adaptive FOVs, with a range from 4x4 cm to 29 cm in diameter and an extendable length of up to 62 cm, ensure coverage of the entire area of interest or of a specific portion, according to the patient's body size. This level of flexibility allows each examination to be optimised, ensuring high definition images and a consistently adjusted radiation dose.
Thanks to these advanced technologies, NewTom 7G is able to offer uncompromising diagnostic performance, adapting to the needs of each patient and clinical specialty.
Optimal lying-down position

The motor-driven patient table allows to adapt the examination to any image acquisition need with the patient lying down in a prone or supine, cranial-caudal or caudal-cranial position.
The fully adjustable motor-driven patient table also ensures correct alignment of the fields of view (FOVs) and reduces movement-induced artifacts, improving the quality and accuracy of each examination, especially in pediatric, elderly or trauma patients.
The NewTom 7G motor-driven patient table can also accommodate overweight patients, thanks to its superior load capacity (max 215 kg).
The open gantry facilitates access, reducing anxiety and claustrophobia, while upper limb examinations can be performed with the patient seated opposite the table.
Throughout the various stages of the examination, patients are monitored via the on-board video camera and an intercom establishes a reassuring line of direct communication with the operator that can also be used to give patients instructions when necessary.
